When we choose to work with nature and be active stewards of living things in our yards, we can observe many ecological principles in action. Understanding the interactions between living things and the surrounding environment is fundamental for us in achieving our stewardship goals. This session will explore how ecological principles are at work in our yards and help provide insights into how to work with nature as we face unprecedented extremes and disturbances.
Andrea Ludwig is an Associate Professor in Biosystems Engineering and Soil Science at the University of Tennessee, with a Specialization in Stormwater Management, and is the driving force behind Tennessee Smart Yards.
