Wild Ones Smoky Mountains Chapter Community,
We have some incredible news to share with you all! Thanks to the collective efforts and dedication of our community, I am thrilled to announce that we have been granted a small plot of land in Knoxville for our use.
This plot presents an amazing opportunity for us to further our mission of conservation and promoting native habitats. With this land, we also have the chance to establish trial gardens and conduct experiments with both sun and shade-loving plants.
One of the most exciting aspects of this opportunity is that the plot is easily accessible, making it convenient for all members of our community to participate. For those who do not have gardens of their own, this plot serves as a shared space where we can come together to learn, grow, and connect with nature.
In line with our commitment to promoting native habitats, we plan to work together with our members to develop the garden in conjunction with Wild Ones’ Certified Native Habitat Program. This program will provide us with valuable guidance and resources as we create a garden worthy of certification.
I am incredibly excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for us with this new plot of land. It’s an opportunity for us to make a tangible difference in our community and leave a lasting legacy for future generations to enjoy.
I invite each and every one of you to join us as we embark on this exciting new chapter for our Wild Ones Smoky Mountains Chapter community. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and create something truly special.
Stay tuned for more details on how you can get involved and contribute to this exciting project!
Excitedly,
Steacy Lucchesi, President
